You know that feeling you get when you're so excited you could explode? I attended my first Edcamp this morning and it left me with this feeling. Ideas buzzing, wishing for more time in the day to implement more, be better, make changes, learn more, etc. Sitting in a room with like minded educators, sharing ideas, asking each other questions, helping each other expose best practices, supporting one another, growing, learning...heck, isn't this what we want our students to do as well?
I've been wanting to start a blog for years now. Unfortunately, intimidation has kept this want at bay due to the feeling of vulnerability it brings. Shoutout to my new friends Don and Melissa for the support and encouragement to finally jump into the blogging world.
At Edcamp we discussed projects that will involve the students becoming bloggers. How can I ask them to blog, teach them about blogging, show them what blogging looks like if I myself am not a blogger?
So here it begins
I step out of my comfort zone, face my fears, and look to grow from this experience. Modeling for my students.
